Safety First
As a parent-founded business, the safety and wellbeing of children has always been at the heart of Cool Cuddle's development.
Before launch, Cool Cuddle underwent extensive independent testing and assessment to help ensure it is safe, practical and suitable for its intended everyday family use.
Cool Cuddle has been developed in accordance with the general safety principles of the UK General Product Safety Regulations 2005 and supported by extensive independent testing and assessment.
Independent Testing & Compliance
Cool Cuddle has been independently tested by Bureau Veritas, a globally recognised testing, inspection and certification organisation. Testing and assessments include:
- BS EN 71-1 — Mechanical & Physical Safety Testing
- BS EN 71-2 — Flammability Testing
- EN 71-3 — Migration of Certain Elements (Heavy Metals)
- Puncture and Leakage Testing
- REACH (EC) No. 1907/2006 — Chemical Safety Assessment
- Toxicological Risk Assessment
- Microbiological Safety Testing
- Antimicrobial Preservation Efficacy Testing
- Verification of Conformity and Certificates of Compliance
Fabric Safety
Cool Cuddle fabrics are sourced from suppliers holding OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification for baby articles, meaning the materials have been tested for harmful substances and meet strict human-ecological safety requirements.
Important Information
- Cool Cuddle is worn by the parent or caregiver and is never worn by the child.
- The child should rest against the Cool Cuddle. It is not designed to carry or support a child's weight and should not be used as a baby carrier.
- Always supervise children during use.
- Do not freeze the cooling packs or use a gel pack from a frozen state.
- Discontinue use if any component becomes damaged or leaks, and contact us immediately.
- Cool Cuddle is a comfort aid and is not a medical device.
- Cool Cuddle should never replace professional medical advice, treatment or medication.
- If your child is unwell or you have concerns regarding their health or temperature, always follow NHS guidance and seek appropriate medical advice.
Returns
Unused and unopened items may be returned within 14 days of delivery and must be returned in their original, undamaged, unopened packaging. For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of products that have been opened, used, or returned without their original packaging unless the item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or sent in error.
